The palette is dry
And his face wet
with stains of colours
that survived
Soon the light will blend every colour to a pastel smile
Soon the life,
will die
And his face wet
with stains of colours
that survived
Soon the light will blend every colour to a pastel smile
Soon the life,
will die

very beautiful... loved the image of a face being wet with stains of colors that "survived"...
Did you do the water color Ben? It's lovely.
Poor smile. That's different: here the light represent bad instead of good.
Ben the female-thats intersting...its BEEN a while. Thanks for dropping in. I appreciated the comments as always. Nice to get back in touch with a few of the old group. I like this. Short and to the point. Especially the "pastel smile." Great description.
there are so many ways you can read this - I love poems like that. Also, I always love poems that keep it simple and short! (much like my haiku and tanka :)
I really like your blog!
Thank you for your comment on my haiku. My husband and daughter tell me that something is still not quite right with "Haiku # 5, Revised."
I, too, thought your "Watercolor Stains" was a gem. I am looking forward to reading more of your poetry. I am just now, late in life, reading more poetry.
This is very good.
missed you and your words...

Happy New Year!
may all your days be colorful...
wanted you to knmow my blog moved due to some unfortunate circumstances, but I have not stopped writing. For an invite I will need an email address. If you are not comfortable with this that's cool, but it's the only way to keep it private between people I trust online and keep out stalkers and such. Appreciate your support over the years and keep blogging.
